Bird Nason Contracting Group is currently seeking applications for experienced Carpenters for a project near Vanderhoof B.C. with an anticipated start date of April 2023.
Anticipated Start Date: April 2023
Project: Blackwater Gold - Construction of a gold mine crushing circuit and processing circuit
Location: Near Vanderhoof, BC
Schedule: 14 days on, 7 days off, 10 hour per day
Wage: $44.87 per hour as per collective agreement
Benefits and RRSP Provided as per collective agreement
Travel Available if Applicable
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:
Interpreting, reading blueprints and drawings
Have good working knowledge of construction practices and operation of tools to work safely and efficiently following directions from Supervisor
Selecting materials, planning sequences and methods of work, and measuring and marking materials
Experience constructing concrete formwork for suspended slabs, walls, grade beams, equipment bases
Experience with installation of anchor bolts and embed plates
Checking completed units to be sure they are level, square, and installed in correct location
Considerable knowledge of the standard practices, methods, materials, and tools of the carpentry trade
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Excellent verbal communication skills
Ability to understand and execute oral and written instructions, able to interpret drawings, bill of materials and various other specification
